Pakistan PM in UAE
During the visit, PM Shehbaz is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Discussions will focus on a broad spectrum of bilateral, regional, and global matters, with particular emphasis on trade, investment, and political cooperation.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office confirmed that the meetings aim to strengthen existing relations while identifying new avenues for future engagement. A shared vision for peace, regional stability, and sustainable development will also feature prominently in the discussions.
UAE-Pakistan ties
According to the Foreign Office, the prime minister’s trip reflects a joint commitment to enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries. Economic collaboration – especially in areas like energy, infrastructure, mining, and agriculture – is expected to be at the core of this renewed engagement.
Earlier this year, the UAE President visited Pakistan, landing in Rahim Yar Khan in January. During his visit, both leaders explored opportunities for deepening political and cultural ties, as well as expanding cooperation in climate action and development aid.
The UAE has consistently extended humanitarian assistance to Pakistan, particularly during times of crisis. In return, Pakistan has expressed its gratitude and commitment to working closely with the UAE on matters of mutual concern.
The January meeting also saw the two leaders reaffirming their dedication to regional peace and pledging deeper collaboration in priority sectors. The current visit is expected to build on that momentum, further solidifying the multifaceted Pakistan-UAE relationship.
